Soundtrack Saturday: Girl Gone Wild by Madonna

I cannot stress enough how obsessed I am with this video. Between Madge, all the sexy men in heels and Mert & Marcus, I can't get enough.  As expected it is now in my iTunes for accessible viewing. This is the best thing to happen to me in ages. It is a coming together of everything sacred in fashion, photography and music. YES please. Okay, so perhaps I'm being al ittle overzealous. But seriously, genius. So naturally, Girl Gone Wild is this week's Soundtrack Saturday installment. This is such a great catchy tune, and I loved putting together the polyvore set. I focused less on putting an actual outfit together this time, and more on the attitude and the feel of the song.  I don't think that there's anything really missing in terms of visuals from this song. M&M thought of everything (as usual) and this video is just a masterpiece.  In any case, I'm off to dance now.  *dance break!*

Soundtrack Saturday: Covergirl by Rupaul Charles

I realized yesterday that I haven't done a soundtrack saturday post for the new year yet! How I managed to go two months without getting to my all time favourite feature is beyond me, but it's back bitches! And with Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent , no less. In any case, here we go. March's first set is based on Rupaul's dance hit Covergirl from her  Champion ablum . In the last 3 days I have been overdosing on drag queens, and I have to say I LOVE IT! I can't get enough of Rupaul's Drage Race . I've watched 3 seasons in three days and all I want is a wig and a compact. That said, this song is seriously amazing. I heard it long before I started watching the show, and it's been in my itunes for a while now. It's and amazingly fun song, and it's so girls' night appropriate. Seriously, I dare you to not dance wildly while you listen. Every time I hear this song all I can do is tap my feet, jiggle my shoulders and bop my head. It's incr...

Soundtrack Saturday: Call Your Girlfriend

have not done a soundtrack saturday post in WAY too long, but i've been having a good week and i felt like celebrating a bit. what better way to do that than with music? i've love robyn as a musician for a long time. her music is amazing, and it's that perfect mix of all the genres you just love. if you saw SNL last weekend, then you might have seen Robyn perform this very song. It's basically about asking the guy you love to admit to his girlfriend that he has feelings for you and leave her, but nicely. a little homewrecker-y, but it's a great song! for this set, I really tried to emulate what little I know of Robyn's style. she's very electro-pop, and she tends to wear a lot glammed-up pedestrian items. think bedazzled denim! i started with the bustier, jacket, and hot shorts. Robyn dances a lot on stage, and she' usually wearing some variation of this. I chose the bright salmon colour because I wanted to translate the song into more commercial fashion...
