via fashion gone rogue Noomi Rapace by Sølve Sundsbø Lady Noomi has been growing on me recently. She's an incredible actress, and stunning beauty, and she has this... .thing that makes her positively enchanting. I love this cover, and I can't wait to see her new movie!

I'm a PRODUCER now. (But not really): Photojournalism, Final Cut and Drag Queens

Look at me! doing important JOURNALISM things. (in my PJ's. Natch) Last semester I took this awesome class called multimedia journalism that was basically about learning how to use Final Cut to create multimedia presentations around our stories. I've been meaning to post these for AGES now but in the flurry of final projects and exams, I never got around to it. So... TA DA! I can do Final Cut things now. I guess... Maya Jimnenz: A Profile This was the first assignment. We had to pair up and produce a profile of our classmate, answering the question "Why do you want to be a photojournalist?". I had a lot of fun shooting and producing it, and it turned out that Maya and I had a lot in common. It was a great assignment and I'm really proud of the results. Mizery Loves Company This was my final assignment. For the final, we had to find and produce a story on anything we wanted. Since I am secretly a drag queen, I profiled a drag queen. And she was AMAZING. Funny and c

Misc. Music: Dance Again by J.Lo ft. Pitbull

Image
Hello again! As I mentioned the other day , I'm going to be posting more of the things that I like that may not necessarily intersect with fashion photography. The first of those things will be music. I love music and music videos, and I love to dance, so there's no reason why I shouldn't be talking about those things here.  So, I present to you, Misc. Music. This will just be a place where I talk about the things that are going on in music, whether they be new songs, the lyrics of said songs, the artists themselves. It will just be a section where I get to tell you how awesome Neo-Soul is, and why you should be listening to it! In any case, for this first installment, I'm tackling JLo's newest video. I hadn't seen it because I don't watch Idol and I don't generally keep up with her goings on, and I'm still mad that she duped us ALL into thinking she was finally settling down with Mark Anthony, but that's a story for another day. This video.... i

Soundtrack Saturday: Girl Gone Wild by Madonna

Image
I cannot stress enough how obsessed I am with this video. Between Madge, all the sexy men in heels and Mert & Marcus, I can't get enough.  As expected it is now in my iTunes for accessible viewing. This is the best thing to happen to me in ages. It is a coming together of everything sacred in fashion, photography and music. YES please. Okay, so perhaps I'm being al ittle overzealous. But seriously, genius. So naturally, Girl Gone Wild is this week's Soundtrack Saturday installment. This is such a great catchy tune, and I loved putting together the polyvore set. I focused less on putting an actual outfit together this time, and more on the attitude and the feel of the song.  I don't think that there's anything really missing in terms of visuals from this song. M&M thought of everything (as usual) and this video is just a masterpiece.  In any case, I'm off to dance now.  *dance break!*

Changing Directions, Shifting Focus

I'm bored. Like, SUPER bored. I'm bored with my life. I'm bored with fashion and I'm bored with this blog. I've been thinking about it a lot recently (hence the extended hiatus) and fashion blogging really is inherently stupid. I mean... what is the point? And this is more specifically about personal style bloggers, but HOW ARE YOU FAMOUS FOR DRESSING YOURSELF? No one pays me to get up and put on clothes... When you step away from the situation and you get some perspective, you start realizing how frivolous fashion really is.There are simply more interesting things that I could be doing. So, I'm going to start doing them. One of the biggest frustrations that I've always had with this blog is that in my attempt to try to keep it focused on fashion photography, I've ended up severely limiting the scope of things that I post about. I love fashion and photography, but it's not all  I love. via I Want Candy Illustration Anyone who knows me knows that I

Back on the Scene (Almost...)

via PLola So... I've been missing. For about a month now. College... it gets in the way.  But classes are done, and there are 2 finals between me and freedom. Yipee! I'm still going to be gone until probably the middle of May, but I wanted to let everyone know that I'm not dead or hiding. I have tons of photos to post from the last month or so, and I excited about hearing back from SVA in a bit. College is over and now the real world is pressing in. More adventures! See you in a month or so!
